Manhattan Beach New Listings (7/20-7/21/24)

This week brings just a few new options.

Last week's top pick did in fact go quickly (400 Manhattan Ave.), and there was little doubt on that one thanks to location. This week, how about 19th/Agnes? (See the first listing below at 738 19th).

In the Hill Section, we'll be open both Saturday and Sunday 2-4PM at Edge's listing at 819 11th. Pop by if you haven't yet! The listing does have 70 photos, but we're always told by people who visit that it's even better in person!

Open house times for new listings are listed below, but you can also click SEARCHES then "Open Houses" at the top of our site, which displays all the Manhattan Beach open houses. There are also links right at the top to Hermosa Beach and Redondo Beach opens.

Tree Section

738 19th St, Manhattan Beach,

738 19th St, Manhattan Beach,  738 19th St (4br/4ba, 3378 sqft.) puts that old real estate phrase, Location! Location! Location! right up front and center.

Based on this dreamy, quiet corner in the leafy Martyrs area, potential buyers could swarm.

738 19th St, Manhattan Beach, Then they're going to need to assess how much work they want to take on. It's a 1980s traditional-style house, with mostly single-pane windows, some low ceilings (and some high ones), and a couple of quirks to the floorplan. Today's buyers would probably want to update nearly everything, from flooring to kitchen to baths, though the home is clean and perfectly livable, even charming in a retro way, as it stands.

Just like you can't improve the home's dreamy location, it's a bit hard to fix things like the backyard/patio lacking connection to the living spaces (it's beyond the garage). But the price is too high for a lot sale – or is it?

From the official description:

Upstairs, four bedrooms feature beamed ceilings, while skylights bathe this level in sunshine. Two bedrooms share a ¾ bath with an additional bedroom suite down the hall. The welcoming primary suite is a vast sanctuary, with cathedral ceilings and a sitting area, as well as a bath with dual vanities and a giant walk-in closet. The laundry room is convenient to the second floor as well. Amenities include hardwood flooring throughout the first floor, a private patio surrounded by walls of greenery, first-floor powder and storage rooms, and custom millwork.
